Upcoming Marriage Seminar

We are so excited about our upcoming weekend! Over the last year we have had a few opportunities to share our story at a couple of churches, and have been able to share our experiences in some depth with our first Marriage Accountability Group, but this weekend we get to combine those two worlds for the first time. On Saturday, May 18, we will be traveling to Norfolk, VA to lead a Marriage Enrichment Seminar at Chesapeake Fellowship. Our good friend, Jay Albritton, is the pastor of Chesapeake Fellowship, which is a part of First Baptist Church Norfolk, VA. We can't wait to spend the weekend with Jay and Julie!

On Saturday evening we will have the opportunity to share with Jay and Julie's small group in their home.  We are looking forward to sharing some practical advice on communication that we learned at our Marriage Intensive through the National Institute of Marriage (www.nationalmarriage.org). Heather does an amazing job sharing what we learned about the "Fear Cycle." I can't wait to dive into this topic with their small group.

On Sunday, May 19, we will have the privilege of sharing our story of marriage redemption during their morning worship service. Then, we get to have a little fun as we lead two sessions with the married couples in their church. Those two hours will be jam packed with these topics: Look Up (Spiritual Intimacy), Open Up (Communication), and Loosen Up (Having Fun).

In case you can't tell, we are super pumped! Although not so pumped about our 5:40 am flight on Saturday morning. I think Jay is getting me back for the grief that I caused him in college. He was my college soccer coach for two years!

Pray for us this weekend!
Rusty and Heather
