Over the last 2 years we have been sponges for anything that will lead us toward healing and growth in our marriage: counseling, retreats, websites, books, sermons, etc. We have posted many of these recommendations on our website, and will continue to add more. However, we recently came across a sermon series that is a "must watch/listen" for every married or engaged couple. I'll share how we came across this goldmine...
A couple of years ago, Mark Driscoll, (teaching pastor at Mars Hill Church) wrote a book called Real Marriage. We didn't purchase the book when it came out, but we listened to a series of sermons that he preached on the book. In fact, in January-March of 2012, Pastor Mark preached on a chapter of the book each week. It is a phenomenal series of sermons that you can find here: http://www.marshill.com/media/real-marriage
This summer, I was finally able to pick up a copy of the book and began reading it. I discovered that the book was the result of a sermon series that Pastor Mark preached back in 2008. The series is entitled "The Peasant Princess," and it walks verse by verse through the Song of Songs. We began watching/listening to the series immediately. We now have an understanding of the Song of Songs, along with some extremely practical marriage advice that touches on a little bit of everything for everybody. One quick word...if you know us you know that we have learned to "tell it like it is" over the last 2 years. We love the series because Pastor Mark "tells it like it is."

Find a way to download it, upload it, unload it, or whatever you have to do to listen to it. Maybe even find some time to listen to it with your spouse. You will be glad that you did!
